“I posted bail and was released Friday, but received another arrest warrant April 1 and posted bail today for the eighth time! 11 legal cases and complaints filed by the justice department in 14 months,” Ressa wrote on Twitter.

The new bail bond was for a complaint filed last year by the National Bureau of Investigation.

Ressa and six other colleagues were charged after Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 158 Judge Rowena Modesto San Pedro found probable cause for alleged violation of the anti-dummy law.

The country’s anti-dummy law prohibits foreigners from intervening in the management, operation, administration, or control of any nationalized activity.

Ressa, according to Rappler, have paid more than P2 million in bail and travel bonds since 2018.
