Prior to the Philippine premiere of the latest DC movie Shazam!, DC Super Heroes Café released a special menu inspired by the mighty mortal.
The restaurant formally introduced the new menu items in an exclusive media event on March 22 at its Megamall Fashion Hall branch in Mandaluyong City.
The event also ushered the release of the third printing of DC Super Heroes Café’s menu that features the DC Comics design of Shazam! on the cover.
“We conceptualized this menu from our desire to offer something new to our customers,” said DC Super Heroes Café owner Edric Chua.
He continued, “This menu offers grilled varieties which is something that we are introducing with this new Shazam!-inspired menu which gets inspiration from Shazam’s divine powers.”
The six-selection chef specials include Wisdom of Solomon Beef Kebabs, Strength of Hercules Baby Back Ribs, Stamina of Atlas Mango Float, Power of Zeus Grilled Pork Chops, Courage of Achilles Honey Butter Drumstick, and Speed of Mercury Macaroni Soup.
Shazam! is a 2019 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by New Line Cinema and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the seventh installment in the DC Extended Universe.
It follows the story of Billy Batson, a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam by saying the word “Shazam!” His newfound powers are soon put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.
