iACADEMY, in collaboration with Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival, one of the leading and biggest fashion festivals in the Philippines, will host the first-ever “Fashion Forward,” a student-led fashion show featuring the collections of AB Fashion Design and Technology’s Graduating Class of 2019, on April 3, Wednesday, 6 p.m., at EDSA Shangri-La.
iACADEMY’s “Fashion Forward” makes waves and reinstates its authority in Fashion Design and Technology by showcasing indigenous textiles, unique patterns, and future-ready collections that college and senior high school students conceptualized and produced.
The artistic collection will unravel 30 distinct looks from the graduating College students and 20 unique looks from the graduating Senior High School students as outputs from their Project-Based Learning and college theses.
“Ever since iACADEMY offered Fashion, our students have unleashed their creative expertise and passion for fashion. This year, we are so proud of what Game Changers came up with and we are looking forward to seeing the newest collections that they will showcase on April 3,” said Vanessa Tanco, iACADEMY President and CEO.
“Every year is a different year to showcase talents. PMFF pushes the boundaries of fashion by showcasing budding artists like iACADEMY students on a big platform like ours. Student-designers have the advantage and exposure that gives them that unique factor when they enter the industry,” said Ronnie Cruz, CEO of art personas and Executive Producer of PMFF.
“This year will be the biggest fashion show iACADEMY has come up with. I am very happy and proud of our students for pushing their limits to produce collections that went above and beyond our expectations. The collections are a notch above what our student-designers thought of,” explained Eli Gonzales, Chairperson of iACADEMY Fashion Design and Technology Program.
