Former Kapamilya star Jason Abalos is part of the upcoming afternoon action drama Bihag, a series which replaces the top-rating My Special Tatay.
In the series, he plays the role of a doctor named Brylle. He’s co-starring with Max Collins, who plays his wife named Jessie.
Bihag also serves a reunion project of the two after they first starred in the romantic drama series, The One That Got Away.
“I’m glad to work with Max. When we started taping there wasn’t any awkwardness, we had an instant connection. In our previous project together we barely had any scenes together, so I’m happy I’m getting to really work with her this time around,” Jason told Manila Standard in an interview.
“It’s was a light project because it was rom-com. This time it’s heavy drama with a bit of an action. This is my third television project with GMA since I became part of their pool of talents. But I consider this as my biggest role,” he added.
After cutting ties with his former mother studio and transferred to GMA Network to become an exclusive talent under GMA Artists Center, Jason has appeared in numerous shows and on television series including The One That Got Away and Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko.
“They were minor roles that’s why I’m very thankful to GMA for entrusting me this project,” he said.
