The contest also focuses on the farm to fashion concept, meaning having a “fabric to form designs to wear.”

With this in mind, Prowess will give a part of the proceeds of the project as its contribution to help these farmers and weavers.

Prowess will serve as ambassadors of cultural integrity so the people in the industry will not forget their cultural heritage and increase their awareness on the importance of intangible cultural heritage by transmitting this knowledge through all generations.  It intends to be the voice of our farmers and weavers to help ensure that all designs are called contemporary indigenous-inspired designs.

Alonzo Muhlach’s Jingle for Bong Go goes viral

Child actor and model Alonzo Muhlach released recently a song and music video in support of the senatorial candidacy of former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go.

The music video, which featured the singing, rapping, dancing, and performing talents of Alonzo, was released on Instagram and Facebook where it was viewed by Alonzo’s 71,167 followers.

The former SAP was deeply flattered at the gesture of the young star, saying that acts like this motivate him to continue serving the people, one way or another.

Nakakabilib yung bata. Magaling, talentado, humble, malayo ang mararating,” Go said.

Bong Go mentioned that stars like Alonzo Muhlach and other people in the entertainment industry deserve to be supported by the government for the continued development of the industry as well as to protect the livelihood of many Filipinos who work in it.

Go, if given the chance, would like to push for measures for the benefit of the Philippine entertainment industry as a whole.
