All roads lead to Gray’s itinerary that includes the much anticipated motorcade and ticker-tape parades and thanksgiving event, among others.
Coming from snowy New York where she recently graced the New York Fashion Week event, Gray sneaked into the country without fanfare accompanied by the staff of the Miss Universe Organization. She waved to the people who saw her at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport upon arrival at around 9 in the evening.
Gray’s homecoming festivities kicks off today via a victory parade following her one-on-one interview with major television networks and press conference at the Novotel Function Room yesterday.
Gray’s grand homecoming motorcade/parade happened yesterday with its starting point at parking grounds in Pasay City at 2:00 p.m. and ended on Ayala Avenue, Makati at 6:00 p.m.. A second parade will take the reigning Miss Universe around the Araneta Center in Cubao from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 23. On Feb. 24, Gray will grace the Pasasalamat (thanksgiving) event to be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum at 7:00 p.m..
The rest of her schedules include a courtesy call to high government officials. On Day 8 of itenerary, Gray will have a whole day charity affair with Smile Train, then she will visit a charity organization in Quezon City. Gray will also meet with the Tondo Youth of Young Focus organization and also the LoveYourself.PH, Incorporated in Mandaluyong City. Gray will come to these organizations to be accompanied by Bb. Pilipinas chairperson Stella Marquez-Araneta.
The National Capital Region (NCRPO), Eastern Police District (EPD), Southern Police District (SPD), Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Manila Police District (MPD) have provided detailed security plan for Gray’s activities from Feb. 20 to 28.
