Pasay City police commander Noel Flores said the latest operations conducted in Barangay Malibay also led to the arrest of 29 other individuals caught violating local ordinances.

The authorities confiscated a bulk of prohibited substances, particularly shabu, and assorted deadly weapons.

Flores said four of those arrested were caught in possession of firearms in violation of the election gun ban, and four others were apprehended with hand grenades.

Metro Manila police director Guillermo Eleazar commended Flores and his men for their successful operations, which he said is in line with the National Capital Region Police Office’ support to the directive of Philippine National Police chief Oscar Albayalde to go against illegal drugs and criminality.

Eleazar had also ordered his men to fully enforce the PNP’s anti-crime campaign dubbed as SACLEO, or the Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations, aimed to ensure peace and order in the community.

SACLEO is an all-out police operation simultaneously conducted in identified areas against illegal drug personalities, most wanted persons, bearers of loose firearms, illegal gamblers, and city ordinance violators.
