The Ateneo Blue Eagles will be defending the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men’s basketball championship without one of their veterans, Aaron Black.

The son of coach Norman Black has spent four years playing for the Blue Eagles, will move back to the United States after he graduates from his Communications’ course this March.

Black’s decision came after the Blue Eagles beat three-time Cebu School Athletic Foundation, Inc. titlist, the University of Visayas Green Lancers, 95-71, for the Philippine Collegiate Champions League national crown last Monday.

So far, the Blue Eagles will have Isaac Go, RV Berjay, BJ Andrade, and SJ Belangel taking charge in their rotation with big man Angelo Kouame.

Black was the Sixth Man of the Blue Eagles and averaged a career-high 8.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists on his second year with the team.
