American supermodel and one of this generation’s fashion icons Kendall Jenner channels ‘70s glamour, with a touch of Californian vibe for a fashion house’s latest advertising campaign.
Dressed in suede jacket, mini skirt, and gladiator sandals—topped with ample fringe, animal prints, and ikat motif, the 23-year-old stunner not only proves she can rock almost anything but also brings a distinct charm to the sensuality of Longchamp’s spring/summer 2019 collection, which was presented at the New York Fashion Week in September, in a series of single- and double-page spreads.
In designing the collection, Longchamp creative director Sophie Delafontaine was inspired by ‘70s glamour, and Jenner’s vibrant silhouettes—fusing Parisian elegance with a laid back Californian vibe, paying tribute to style icons Veruschka and Anita Pallenberg.
Capturing Jenner in dynamic poses, photographer Mikael Jansson made full use of the collection’s statement fringes to evoke the energy and freedom that are fundamental to the active Longchamp woman.
The other star of the campaign is the Amazone bag in padded red leather, which Jenner wears cross-body on a leopard-print shoulder strap. Meanwhile, other visuals feature the extravagant fringed and python-styled versions shown on the runway.
The Longchamp spring/summer 2019 print campaign with Kendall Jenner will break worldwide in February.
