Even celebrities know they have to plan and start early to make their tomorrow better today.
Radiant as ever, award-winning actress Iza Calzado showed no signs of entering bridezilla territory when she was preparing for her wedding. In December last year, she married her fiancé, tech entrepreneur Ben Wintle in Palawan.
But she does worry about one thing: starting a family.
“To be honest, it’s a bit scary not knowing how things will turn out, but I guess, as long as I secure my future, and I plan ahead, everything will be okay,” she shares in a video for FWD Life Insurance.
She continues, “This is why as early as now, I’m making smarter shopping choices, investing in real estate, and getting financial protection from a solid insurance company like FWD.”
Upon the arrival of baby Daniel Freedom in the life of celebrity couple John Prats and Isabel Oli and their firstborn Lily Feather, John says their family is finally complete.
The husband and wife, along with the whole Prats family, have been praying for a baby boy to continue the Prats name. And while John is smiling ear to ear these days, he can’t help but think of the future and what it holds for his young family.
“Apat na kami ngayon: si Freedom, si Feather, si Liv (Isabel’s nickname), at ako. Masaya, pero medyo scary, kasi siyempre tatlo na sila na naka-depende sa akin. At alam ko na hindi madali mag-raise ng family dahil hindi mo alam kung anong mangyayari sa future mo (We’re four in the family now: Freedom, Feather, Liv, and I. I’m happy but it’s also scary because now there are three people who are depending on me. And I know it’s not easy to raise a family because you don’t know what’s gonna happen in the future),” shares the doting father.
So while his kids are still young, he’s already taking steps to make their tomorrows better today.
“Hindi lahat puro hard work. Kailangan iyong hard work mo, secured din. Kaya ako, simula nong bata ako, lahat ng ipon ko sa pag-aartista at ngayon as a director, lahat 'yon ini-invest ko. (Hard work is not enough. Your hard work has to be secured, too. That’s why ever since I was young, I’m investing all the money I have saved as an actor and now as a director). I secure my family now, so we can be all Set for Tomorrow,” he shares.
“Wala naman mawawala (You have nothing to lose) if you plan ahead and prepare.”
