The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Muntinlupa expressed their confidence in Mayor Jaime Fresnedi’s administration, as he leads the local government to greater heights in trade and investments.
PCCI-Muntinlupa president Elvie Sanchez-Quiazon lauded Fresnedi’s initiatives in promoting innovations to streamline business processes during a Thanksgiving Banquet organized by the city government for members of the private sector on Wednesday.
“PCCI-Muntinlupa would like to express our utmost thanks Mayor Jaime Fresnedi’s leadership in championing ease of doing business with the government. Our continued optimism over Mayor Fresnedi’s commitment to bring real change has been credited to the implementation of innovations not only for the business community but also for all Muntinlupa residents,” Quiazon said.
Fresnedi led the Thanksgiving Banquet attended by over 250 business locators and entrepreneurs in the city. The mayor also graced the opening of a photo exhibit of new business locators in Muntinlupa and the Annual Business Permits Renewal Event at Muntinlupa Sports Complex in Brgy. Tunasan.
The 2019 Business Permit Renewal will run from Jan. 3 to 20. The city Business Permits and Licensing Office urges business owners to pay dues early to avoid penalties and skip “rush days” of registration nearing the deadline.
Fresnedi awarded certificates of recognition and grocery packages to the Top Ten Early Registrants in this year’s Business Permit Renewal.
Top Ten Early Registrants were the following: Carlito de Guzman (Lito and Lani Food Haus), Josephine Dejan (FDA Dejan Construction Services), Cesar Bronola Lastrilla (Mercy Salon), Alona Arciaga (Alona’s Store), Cherrie Flores (Mini-Mini Store), Josielyn Cabalza Daez (E.J.D. Softdrinks), Abraham Tiro (Mama Nene Store), Cynthia Olaes (Cynthia’s Sari-sari Store), Avelio Fuedan (Avel Store), and Ma. Pinky Lynsey (MPLG Begona Trading).
Fresnedi thanked the business owners for their punctuality in paying their dues and renewing their businesses in the city. Currently, there are 15,409 registered business in Muntinlupa. The City has recorded a significant increase of over 166 percent in business tax collection since 2012.
A One-Stop Shop arrangement in the Business Permit Renewal Hub has been prepared in the venue for the convenience of taxpayers.
Requirements from Barangay Halls and Regulatory Offices can be acquired in the location of the Renewal as representatives of said agencies will be rendering service simultaneously.
Taxpayers can pay using debit cards in the renewal event. Mobile ATMs from BDO and Landbank and a closed circuit television systems are also installed across the venue.
Business owners filing for renewal may also access the internet through a free wi-fi connection powered by Globe Telecom and Smart.
Free shuttle service is provided for clients going to the venue. Pick-up points are located at Muntinlupa City Hall Quadrangle in Putatan and Muntinlupa City Public Market in Alabang.
