Long-term Naia pay parking to be temporarily prohibited

Overnight or long-term pay parking at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport – Terminal 3 will be temporarily prohibited to ease traffic going to and from the airport during the rest of the holidays.

“Please be advised that beginning December 28, 2018 overnight or long-term parking in all pay parking areas at the NAIA Terminal 3 will be suspended due to the heavy volume of vehicles sending off and meeting passengers this holiday season,” the Manila International Airport Authority stated in its advisory.

Officials of the MIAA Media Affairs Division, however, said the NAIA Terminal 3 management would still allow vehicles to park at pay parking areas but only for a limited period.

They added that overnight and long-term parking would resume on Jan. 4, 2019.

The MIAA has anticipated the arrival of at least two million air travellers, including overseas Filipino workers, in four terminals this month to spend and enjoy their vacations with friends and families this holiday season.

Meanwhile, the Cebu Pacific Air urged air travelers on domestic flights over the next few days to check-in for their flights online before they head the airport.

To expedite check-in and boarding, passengers are also requested to print their boarding passes or save these in their mobile devices.

“We are anticipating heavy passenger volume over the next few days. Checking in for flights online will save passengers from waiting in line at our airport check-in counters and self check-in kiosks,” the CEB management stated.

Airline officials said guests traveling on domestic flights who have checked-in could go straight to the bag-drop counter for their check-in baggage, or straight to boarding gate if no bags.

“Guests may check-in for their flights, select seats or add baggage allowance via the website, http://www.cebupacificair.com, or through the official Cebu Pacific Air mobile app. Just encode the booking reference and passenger’s surname in the space provided.” “‹
