The Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) recently won two Asian regional awards, the Platinum Award for excellence in environmental, social and governance and a Highly Commended Initiative for environmental responsibility, among the highest honors of “The Asset Corporate Awards 2018” organised by the financial magazine, The Asset.
The latter is one of Asia’s most influential financial publications, and “The Asset Corporate Awards” are the longest-running environmental, social and governance awards in Asia. The awards recognize the outstanding performance and service excellence among listed companies across the Asia Pacific region “This award mean a lot to us, as this shows the importance MPIC gives to the environment,” explained Melody del Rosario, VP for corporate communications of MPIC and the Metro Pacific Investments Foundation (MPIF).
“Looking forward, we will continue to explore and perfect our environmental management and corporate governance in order to strengthen our structure for sustainable development.”
Earlier this year, MPIC’s flagship sustainability program, Shore It Up!, snagged the Campaign of the Year prize in the Asia-Pacific Excellence Awards.
