NorthPort is looking to ascend by keeping some of its reliable young core.
Following a disappointing season, the Batang Pier is already looking forward to the next season of the Philippine Basketball Association as it already made some early moves.
NorthPort re-signed young cogs Jonathan Gray and Moala Tautuua to a fresh two-year pact.
Gray and Tautuua are regulars in NorthPort’s rotation.
Showing some flashes of brilliance in the past season, Gray was able to earn praise along the way as his vast improvement is something that the Batang Pier sees as an asset.
For Tautuua, he has been a constant inside presence for the squad, banging bodies down low against the league’s elite big men.
Two weeks ago, the Batang Pier also signed Letran head coach Jeff Napa as an assistant mentor to tactician Pido Jarencio.
