Top housing developer enters hospitality industry

Travelers are in for a more fun experience in the Philippines as a housing developer introduces a diverge range of hotels and resorts with the launch of hospitality group 8990 Leisure and Resorts.

8990 Leisure and Resorts is a subsidiary of top housing developer 8990 Holdings, Inc. (HOUSE). Looking to develop a total of 3,000 rooms in the next five years, it seeks to further promote the country as an exciting and enjoyable destination.

The country’s newest hospitality group is targeting the following key destinations: Cebu, Makati, Davao, Palawan, Boracay, Siquijor, Alabang, Manila, Iloilo, Legazpi, Clark, Lapu-Lapu, Siargao, and Baguio.

“The Philippine leisure and hospitality industry is on an upswing with the current administration focusing on tourism development. The launch of 8990 Leisure and Resorts definitely comes at a perfect time,” says Willie J. Uy, president and chief executive officer of 8990 Holdings, Inc.

8990 Leisure and Resorts kicked off with three brands, which are introduced by influential personalities, namely, traveler and writer Stephanie Zubiri for Adama. Adama is a five-star luxury family resort nestled within nature, allowing families to bond amidst lush greeneries. 

Model-turned-entrepreneur Mikaela Lagdameo-Martinez introduced Kura, a four-star luxury hotel for the trailblazers who are seeking to indulge in the grandness of life.
