Bacoor City—F2 Logistics banked on its collective effort to overcome a hard-fighting Cignal squad, 25-22, 23-25, 25-14, 25-17, and stretch its winning streak in the Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference Thursday at the Bacoor Strike Gym here.

Ara Galang and Majoy Baron led the attack of the Cargo Movers, who extended their winning streak to five in this prestigious club tourney bankrolled by Isuzu, Sogo, Senoh, Asics, Mikasa, Mueller, UCPB Gen and Bizooku with Genius Sports as technical partner.

Galang dropped 18 points built on 16 spikes and a pair of aces laced with 10 excellent receptions while Baron unloaded eight kills, five blocks and three aces for 16 points as F2 Logistics improved to 7-2 win-loss record to claim the solo second spot.

Cha Cruz-Behag was also instrumental with 12 points and 23 digs while Aby Maraño added 10 markers for F2 Logistics, which finished the job in just one hour and 36 minutes of battle in this tourney that also has ESPN5, Hyper HD and Aksyon TV as broadcast partners.

Fajardo made 45 excellent sets as their team continued to miss Kianna Dy for the second straight game due to knee soreness and the wake of her grandmother in Davao.

“I’m happy even we lost the second set because somehow I saw the determination of my players to win the game,” F2 Logistics head coach Ramil de Jesus said.

“Even we’re not complete, they were composed.”

The Cargo Movers fought back from 17-24 deficit in the second set and trimmed it down to 23-24.

But Mylene Paat nailed a kill to end the frame and level the match to one-set apiece before the Cargo Movers recovered their groove en route to the victory.

Cignal managed to keep F2 Logistics within striking distance in all departments as it had a 12-10 advantage in blocking, trailed only three in attacking, 42-45 and had 10 team aces each.

The Cargo Movers also played more fluid with only 14 errors while the HD Spikers committed 33 miscues.

Paat had 18 points while Rachel Anne Daquis delivered 15 hits, including 15 excellent receptions, for the HD Spikers, who dropped to a 4-5 card.
