The stars from the 2018 FIFA World Cup and Filipino pride Neil Etheridge of Cardiff City FC descend on ABS-CBN S+A this December to offer a glittery holiday for local football fans.
Etheridge and his Cardiff squad fire off the festivities when they take on Wolverhampton FC on Saturday (Dec. 1) live at 3:55 a.m. in an English Premier League match-up.
On Sunday (Dec. 2) morning, World Cup Golden Ball winner Luka Modric will lead Real Madrid when they play host to Valencia in La Liga LIVE from the Santiago Bernabeu at 3:40 a.m.
Banner football action shifts back to the EPL on Monday (Dec. 2) in the Merseyside Derby when Egypt’s football icon Mo Salah and his Liverpool Reds clash with Richarlison’s Everton club at Anfield LIVE at 12:10 a.m. on S+A. Later that week, on Saturday (Dec. 8), it’s the turn of Manchester United, bannered by Belgian star Romelu Lukkaku and Chilean star Alexis Sanchez, go head to head with Fulham and forward Aleksandar Mitrovic from the Red Devils home pitch live on S+A at 10:55 p.m.
It will be followed by Spanish giant FC Barcelona’s match against Espanyol in another La Liga match-up, where the Azulgrana tries to widen the gap between them and the rest of the field with returning star Lionel Messi at 3:40 a.m. on Dec. 9, live on S+A.
Meanwhile, Hurricane Harry Kane will star in Tottenham’s showdown with Burnley when the Hotspurs play hosts to the latter on Dec. 15, live at 10:55 p.m. Dec. 16 looks to be a big day as two EPL giants test each other’s mettle when Salah and Lukkaku try to outgun each other in leading Liverpool and Manchester United in Anfield, live on S+A at 11:55 p.m. Two days before Christmas here in the Philippines, Dec. 23, Manchester United will also play Neil Etheridge’s Cardiff squad live on S+A at 1:25 a.m.
Action will shift to Italy’s premier football league, Serie A, when storied clubs Inter Milan and Napoli face off as they jostle for position behind league-leading Juventus. Napoli leads Inter by just a hair and star forward Mauro Icardi wants those three points over their rivals led by Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne when the match airs live on S+A on Dec. 27 at 3:20 a.m.
