Mayor John Rey Tiangco and Rep. Toby Tiangco recently led the blessing and inauguration of the Navocare Community Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy Clinic at Brgy. Tanza 1.
The clinic can accommodate musculoskeletal cases including frozen shoulder, shoulder impingement, fractures, and sprains and strains.
It can also provide therapy for neurological cases such as cardiovascular disease (CVD), Parkinson’s disease and cerebral palsy.
“Tanza is a bit far from the city proper that is why it’s crucial that our residents here also have facilities that will address their medical and health needs,” Mayor Tiangco said.
The barangay also has a 3-in-1 health facility that included a lying-in clinic, health center, and Tuberculosis Directly Observed Treatment, Short Course (TB-DOTS) center which opened in May last year.
Mayor Tiangco said the city is also building a medical hub at Brgy. San Jose that will also offer community-based rehabilitation and physical therapy.
It will also expand the Navotas City Hospital to increase its bed capacity and provide more medical services.
