The Makati City government will hold a Job Fair on Nov. 9 at the Ayala Malls Circuit Activity Center, where job-seekers can be hired on the spot by at least 26 participating companies.
Mayor Abigail Binay urged both residents and non-residents seeking employment to participate in the event dubbed as “One-Day Mega Job Fair.”
The city’s Public Employment Service Office has confirmed 26 participating companies in the job fair, organized in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment and Ayala Land, Inc.
The participating companies include Andok’s Litson, Bench, BFL-Book For Less, China Bank, CNT, Dunkin Donuts, Expression Stationary Shop, Fox Box, George Optical, Group Perspective Inc., Guill Berns, Market Place Christian Church Transport & Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Mesa Restaurant, Mirof Resources, More Than Jobs, Nail-a-Holics, Phil. Survey Research Center, Rackshack Circuit, Receivers & Liquidators, Regalong Pambahay, Rustan Supercenter, Samjin Amook, Serenitea, The Burgery Shop, Torch, and Uniqlo.
Among the government agencies present to extend their services to job applicants during the activity are the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth, and Social Security System.
The city’s Information and Community Relations Department reminded applicants to bring copies of their resume or biodata and other relevant documents.
In the last fair, 137 job seekers were hired on the spot, while 339 others were qualified for further screening by participating firms during the Mega Job Fair spearheaded by the city government in June as part of its 348th year celebration.
A total of 1,041 job applicants joined the event held at Glorietta 3 Activity Center.
Mayor Binay expressed her gratitude to those who participated in the job fair and praised PESO officials and their partner-companies for the success of the event.
