The Muntinlupa City government has provided free shuttle services to public and private cemeteries in the city for those visiting the graves of their departed loved ones for Undas 2018.
Muntinlupa Public Information Officer Tez Navarro said electronic jeepneys were deployed along National Road from Sucat to Tunasan to mobilize constituents visiting the six cemeteries in the city from Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
Free shuttles from the National Road thoroughfare going to the cemeteries were also provided through the City Bus and 18 flexi-trucks, Navarro added.
Pick up points of free shuttle services were deployed at Susana Heights Bus Terminal (Everest Hills Memorial Park), Plaza Central (Japanese Cemetery), Caltex Station—Soldiers Hills (Muntinlupa City Public Cemetery/Aglipay Cemetery), and Sucat East Service Road to Alabang Montillano St., to M.L Quezon St., to Meralco Road Loop (San Nicolas de Tolentino Cemetery).
The Mayor’s Office led the Muntinlupa Undas 2018 program in coordination with the Muntinlupa Traffic and Management Bureau.
The Community Affairs and Development Office, Ospital ng Muntinlupa, City Health Office, and the City Security Office also installed booths for medical assistance, free water, and distribution of 10,000 candles for free.
Mayor Jaime Fresnedi ordered Muntinlupa Police and the Muntinlupa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council to augment security in the city’s six cemeteries to ensure peace and order in the celebration of All Saints’ and Souls’ Day.
The mayor urged the public to follow cemetery regulations and wished them a peaceful celebration of the holiday.
