Lyceum top Pirate Perez is bound for PBA

Reigning National Collegiate Athletic Association Most Valuable Player CJ Perez is pro bound.

The Lyceum University Pirates’ superstar formally filed his application for the 2018 Philippine Basketball Association Draft last Monday.

His application certainly excited a lot of enthusiasts.

Perez is expected to be a top three pick in the coming rookie selection this December.

Given his astonishing scoring and athletic prowess, Perez is considered as one of the top, if not the top, prospect in the coming draft.

After short-lived stints with San Sebastian and Ateneo, Perez transferred to Lyceum under coach Topex Robinson to spread his wings.

He totally changed the Pirates’ fortunes as they are now a force in the NCAA.

Perez norms 18.7 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists in his campaign in the NCAA this season.

At the moment, Perez is trying to finish his collegiate career on a high note as he hopes to lead Lyceum to its first championship in NCAA.

The Pirates are expected to face defending champion San Beda University in the NCAA Season 94 Finals.
