The ‘incorrupt heart‘ relic of Saint Padre Pio who was venerated by Filipinos during his stay in the country from Oct. 5 to 26 left for Pietrelcina, Italy on Friday on board Qatar Airways flight via Doha at the Naia Terminal 1. Hundreds of devotees who witnessed the sendoff at the Naia Gate 15 holding area lined up for hours to view and kiss the relic prior to its boarding at 6 pm. During its 20-day stay in the country, the relic was brought to the Manila Cathedral on Oct. 8-10; Cebu Cathedral Oct. 11-13; Davao Cathedral Oct.14-16; Lipa Cathedral Oct.17 and its last stop at the National Shrine of Saint Pio from Oct.18-26 where millions of devotees flocked to the National Shrine in Santo Tomas, Batangas before it was sent off to the airport on Friday.
