With October being the National Indigenous Peoples Month, the Philippine Sports Commission will conduct the 4th leg of the Indigenous Peoples Games to coincide with the celebration.
The upcoming leg will be held at the Municipality of Kapangan in the Province of Benguet from Oct. 27 to 29.
PSC Commissioner Charles Raymond Maxey led preparations, initiated as early as August, in close coordination with Benguet Provincial Sports Coordinator Denmark Monang.
Karlo Pates, Executive Assistant of Commissioner Maxey, said that “we are expecting around 500 participants in this edition.”
One more leg is scheduled in Bukidnon this November to round up the agency’s IP activities for this year.
Three legs have been held previously this year in Davao del Norte, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato and Ifugao.
