VICE President Leni Robredo will leave today for the United States of America and Canada to attend a series of engagements, including a speech before a top policy think tank based in Washington, D.C.
The Office of the Vice President, in an advisory, said she will deliver the keynote address at the Center for Strategic and International Studies on Oct. 18 for the CSIS-Pertamina-Banyan Tree Leadership Forum and the US-Philippines Strategic Initiative.
The fora are considered to be premier platforms for discussing issues that have significant impact on Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific.
Aside from other speaking engagements before Filipino associations, the vice president is also scheduled to meet with potential partners for her office’s flagship anti-poverty program, Angat Buhay, as well as with Filipinos who thrived here for Istorya ng Pag-asa.
Before her departure, the Vice President was invited to attend the Galing Pook Awards 2018 and 4th Jesse Robredo Leadership Award at the Novotel Manila in Quezon City.
