Multi-awardee movie and television scriptwriter Lilit Reyes will mentor a series of scriptwriting classes in three modules offered by the School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPaCE) at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) on selected Saturdays of October and November.
Reyes is the head of Bent & Buzz, a contentment company that produces story content for branded entertainment on multimedia platforms.
He bagged the 1st Prize for Screenplay in the prestigious Carlos Palanca Awards for Literature for Hubog Ng Langit, and the Best Screenplay for Water Lemon at the QCinema International Film Festival. He likewise earned a Gawad Urian nomination.
Reyes was named as Star Awards Indie Movie Screenwriter of the Year as the Co-Writer for the adapted screenplay of the Palanca Award-winning musical Changing Partners with the original playwright Vincent De Jesus. Their work was likewise a FAMAS nominee for Best Adapted Screenplay.
In the first module, Reyes will assist participants to humanize brands, combine scriptwriting skills plus basics of video storytelling, and to come up with storylines to be proposed as corporate brand content. It will be held today (Oct. 6) and 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The fee is P7,550.
In the second module, students will use their scriptwriting and video storytelling skills to create Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaigns to be pitched to companies and advocacy groups. Reyes will lecture on how to persuade or encourage the attendees’ audiences to support a cause. This two-day session will be on Oct. 20 and 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The fee is P7,550.
In the third module, Reyes will guide attendees on how to frame the narrative and the timeline of an original work into a three-act structure, and to transform pre-assigned adapted materials into video storytelling. The one-day class is on Nov. 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost of this workshop will be P3,800.
