“He said he placed a bet [on the lotto],” said Roque in a Palace press briefing Thursday.
“I heard of that news, so when I heard about it, I told my staff to place a bet in my stead too” he added, noting that there is a nearest lotto outlet near the Malacañang area.
According to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, the jackpot for the Ultra Lotto 6/58 is projected to hit P885 million by Saturday’s draw.
No lotto bettor was able to win the six-digit winning combination 30-41-53-04-02-54, which offered a prize of P849.578 million on Tuesday.
