It’s true that we have already seen so many singing reality shows on TV, and yet we still don’t get tired of watching these programs where each contestant battle it out for the top prize and sing for their dreams. As a matter of fact, many reality singing shows have been running for many seasons now, and they still get the viewers all excited.
Case in point, GMA-7’s original singing reality show, The Clash, has been creating big buzz not just on TV but also online. The contestants’ performances become trending content on YouTube just a few hours after the live airing. Thus, it’s no surprise if Kapuso viewers would be glued to their TV screens as the highly-anticipated grand finals of the intense singing battle draws near.
The game is not yet over for six talented singers who are close to their dreams of becoming the first-ever The Clash champion.
The clashers who made the cut at the Top of the Clash are Anthony Rosaldo of Valenzuela, Garrett Bolden of Olongapo, Golden Cañedo of Cebu, Jong Madaliday of North Cotabato, Josh Adornado of Cagayan de Oro, and Mirriam Manalo of Pampanga.
The Clash Panel of judges admit that they are having a difficult time in determining who will be declared as the competition’s winner because all of the contestants are showing extraordinary singing skill every week.
Romantic balladeer Christian Bautista revealed that he wants someone who can be an inspiration to aspiring singers.
“I’m looking for a singer that can compete vocally with the best singers in the country and even in the world. I am also looking for someone who can easily capture the heart of the Filipino by engaging them through his performance,” he explained.
Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai delas Alas, on the other hand, shares that she gauges her bet by looking at its combined distinct voice quality and charisma on stage.
“Apart from excellent singing skill, I’m looking for someone who has the star quality and x-factor. People idolize those singers who exceed our expectations, so we should look for someone who has those qualities,” she said.
Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, in turn, revealed her expectations for the finale.
“Everybody has been doing really well, so for me it’s going to be a tough fight. Pakiramdam ko ako yung unang-unang kakabahan for our clashers. For me, it’s a bittersweet ending because the clashers are already close with each other, close din sila sa amin to the point na we endeared them so much like our own children. Kaya malamang after the grand finals, for sure mamimiss namin sila,” she said.
The Clash champion will take home more than 4 million worth of prizes including an exclusive management contract with GMA Network, 1 million pesos cash, a brand new car and a Bria house and lot.
Who among the Final 6 will be hailed as the first ever The Clash champion?
Meanwhile, later tonight, the Top 6 clashers will undergo their ultimate challenge to be able to reach The Final Battle where only five of them will be able to book their slots in the much-awaited grand finals tomorrow, Sept. 30.
