Multi-titled kegler Liza del Rosario seeks a seventh stint in the Bowling World Cup international event when she paces 43 others in the 2018 BWC national women’s finals set on Sept. 30 at Coronado Lanes (Starlanes).
Del Rosario has already won six national titles to earn the right to represent the Philippines in the prestigious international competition, the last time in Hermosillo, Mexico last year. Del Rosario also saw action in Pattaya, Thailand in 2001, Singapore in 2004, Wroclow, Poland in 2014, Melaka, Malaysia in 2009 and Las Vegas in 2015 and Russia in 2007.
Del Rosario came in second in Pattaya, third in Singapore, fourth in Poland and Las Vegas, sixth in Malaysia and 19th in Russia.
This year’s national champion will compete in the 54th BWC international championship at Sam’s Town, Las Vegas on November 4 to 11.
Last year’s international women’s titlist, Filipina Krizziah Tabora, failed to join the Philippine tourney because she’s on medical leave.
Mades Arles, the Philippine entry in the 2013 international finals in Sburyak, Russia where she finished eighth, is also one of the favorites in this year’s national tourney.
