Trillanes to file ‘reso’ vs SAP Go’s public works deals

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV on Monday said that he would seek for a Senate investigation on the multi-billion-peso public works contracts allegedly awarded to firms owned by the family of Special Assistant to the President Bong Go.

In a news briefing, Trillanes said he will file a resolution for a Senate probe later that same day, but later decided to defer the said resolution.

Trillanes’ resolution that will look into the contracts cornered by the company reportedly owned by Go’s father and half-brother would be filed today.

“This afternoon, I will be filing a resolution calling for an investigation on the projects acquired by Bong Go from the goverment amounting to billions of pesos,” Trillanes said.

“These were construction projects his company and his family. So that is clear corruption.

Told that he can be accused of vendetta, Trillanes said he has been doing this thing—conducting investigations on graft and corruptions.

“If there is revenge, I didn’t invent this,” said the opposition senator who has remained under Senate custody following threats of arrest after the President who had revoked the amnesty granted to him by former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino.
