SM’s Little Stars 2018

It was a shining night for Aleynah Cassedine Redillas and Satriani Lancelot Acot when they were named SM Little Stars 2018 during the Grand Finals held recently at the Centerstage of SM Mall of Asia.

Aleynah Cassedine, 6, who represented SM City Fairview, amazed the audience in her delightful performance of “Naughty,” from Matilda, the Musical, while Satriani Lancelot,  7, representing SM City Bacoor, wowed the audience by dancing “Haypa” of MMJ.

They won over 26 finalists in the 12th  edition of this annual nationwide search for cute, adorable and talented kids. As Grand Prize Winners, they each received amazing prizes including a brand-new Chevrolet Trax, P200,000 worth of cash and shopping money, a trip to China for two (including round-trip tickets, hotel accommodations and tours), and a four-year college scholarship grant from National University. 

Other shining stars were: first runner-up  Isabela Espinosa from SM Southmall, who danced “Better When I’m Dancin” by Meghan Trainor; second runner-up  Rhemaya Ruth Simpson of SM City Iloilo who delighted the audience with an energetic acrobatic gymnastic dance; and third runner-up  Sylvannah Jamie Manuelaurice Garcia from SM City Sta. Mesa who charmed the audience with her soulful rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” song performance.

SM Chairman for Executive Committee Hans T. Sy warmly welcomes the grand winners of SM Little Stars in SM Malls in China in Xiamen, Chengdu, Suzhou, Chongqing, Tianjin, and Zibo.

Hosted by Robi Domingo and SM Little Stars 2013 third runner-up and now one of the featured artists of Your Face Sounds Familiar Esang de Torres, the event’s distinguished board of judges included multi-talented movie actor John Arcilla, recording artist Sam Concepcion, dance master Mickey Perz, and beauty queen Winwyn Marquez. They chose the winners based on the following criteria: 40 percent for Star Quality, 20 percent for Personality and 40 percent for Talent.

One of the highlights of the program was the participation of the SM Little Stars winners from China who also showcased their talents during the event. They were SM City Xiamen’s  Zhang Tingshuo and  Lin Enji, SM City Chengdu’s  Peng Yagi and  He Junxian, SM City Suzhou’s  Xie Zeyu and  Ming Ruihan, SM City Tianji’s  Ren Zixuan and  Gao Huaijun, SM City Zibo’s  Yang Kaige and  Sun Yuehan and SM City Chongqing’s Wu Zhenxi.

The SM Little Stars pageant is one of the many exciting events of the SM Supermalls.
