Solar Philippines

Residents of Paluan, Occidental Mindoro celebrate the completion of the largest solar-battery minigrid in Southeast Asia, bringing 24/7 power for the first time in the town’s history, at 50 percent lower cost than the local electric coop and National Power Corp. The project is the first in Asia to feature Powerpacks from Tesla, a leading supplier of batteries and electric vehicles. Solar Philippines, a company established by Leandro Leviste, is now completing hybrid minigrids to deliver electricity at a lower cost to consumers, and at zero cost to the government, in towns that have never before received adequate electric service.
