Maynilad president and CEO Ramoncito Fernandez (8th from left) receives a plaque of recognition from MWSS Administrator Reynaldo Velasco for MWSI’s support to the Annual Million Tree Challenge, a reforestation program of MWSS aimed at rehabilitating watersheds. Maynilad, which planted 130,000 trees in 2017, was commended for its Plant for Life Program, a multi-stage reforestation program that was conceptualized by engineer Francisco Arellano (11th from left) which paved the way for enduring rehabilitation of La Mesa watershed then expanded to the Ipo watershed in partnership with various private and government entities.
