Global smartphone giant OPPO has introduced OPPO F9, which offers a revolutionary flash charging technology and a bezel-less screen for a superb viewing experience.
Exclusively developed by OPPO, the revolutionary VOOC Flash Charge Technology of F9 allows a charging speed of up to four times faster than regular phones. It is equal to a quick five-minute charge for a two-hour talk time.
VOOC replaced the voltage reducing circuit with a MicroControlling Unit to ensure user safety, effectively preventing the mobile phone from overheating while charging. Through its intelligent five-layer protection system, the phone can still be used while keeping the speed of fast charging unlike in high voltage fast charge.
Equipped with a 3500mAh battery and optimized AI battery management, F9 can guarantee a longer battery life. The system closes inactive apps to save power by learning and establishing usage patterns and habits over time.
OPPO is no stranger in innovating breakthrough phones. It has recently launched OPPO Find X which boasts of an impressive 93.8% screen-to-body ratio—the highest in its class—by using a stealth 3D camera.
Meanwhile, OPPO F9 has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.8% and much more affordable than Find X, making it accessible to the middle-class market. With a resolution of 2340×1080, the OPPO F9 has a 6.3-inch bezel-less screen and a tiny notch.
F9’s tiny notch houses a 25MP selfie camera with hardware support for HDR. With the reinvented ‘Sensor-HDR’ technology, backlight selfies are improved and users can now check high dynamic exposure live effects in real-time. OPPO F9 also recognizes 296 feature points for its subjects, analyzes features and customizes enhancements based on its database of facial images.
The ‘selfie expert’ phone also inherits the AI Beauty Technology from its predecessors, beautifying selfies while maintaining the natural look of human subjects.
OPPO F9 is also the pioneer in the F series with its AI-enhanced dual rear cameras (16 MP + 2 MP). The dual cameras can create a gorgeous Bokeh effect and are able to intelligently identify 16 independent objects and 800 combined scenes shot in real time. F9 also offers a slow-motion mode for video that can be easily shared with friends.
OPPO F9 raises the bar among mid-range smartphones with its 6GB RAM for a smooth and fast performance. The phone also supports two nano sim cards slots and comes with a 64GB storage, which can be expanded to a greater capacity thanks to a 256GB microSD card slot.
Powered by ColorOS 5.2 Operating System, F9 analyzes and aggregates user preferences and interests to create a smarter and more intuitive experience. It allows multitasking: one can listen to music with the screen off or handle incoming social media messaging while gaming. The F9 can also identify objects and show relevant search results through Google Lens.

Like other OPPO phones, F9 uses colorful gradients—Sunrise Red, Twilight Blue, and Starry Purple. The first two color has a tessellated pattern while the latter one has a magnificent diamond-like pattern speckled with gold “stars.” A special spraying technique is used to achieve the refined gradient partnered with flower petal pattern in the phone’s body.
OPPO F9 can be purchased at an SRP of P17,990 (6GB RAM). It is also available with Smart at GigaX Plan 1299.
