Cebu City—The island province of Cebu rolled out the red carpet on Thursday to welcome local and international participants and guests from 52 countries for the 2018 Regent Aguila IRONMAN 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship.

Sunrise Events continues its year-long tenth anniversary celebration with the holding of the race which drew a record field of 2,700 participants. Sunrise Events Founder Wilfred Steven Uytengsu said the government and the private sector are working together to guarantee its success.

“Together with the LGUs and government agencies concerned, we will continue our efforts in making the Regent Aguila IRONMAN 70.3 Asia Pacific Championship a rousing success and reinforce this event as the Crown Jewel of Asia,” said Uytengsu.

The race will feature the most star-studded cast to ever participate in an IRONMAN 70.3 race in the country.
