Nathalie Hart Proud to be pregnant

She cried when she found out she was pregnant. That was what sexy star Nathalie Hart told the press at a merienda-get-together last Wednesday at The Frazzled Cook in Quezon City.

“I cried not because I didn’t want to get pregnant, but because I wasn’t ready yet and I didn’t know what to do,” she added to an aghast audience.

For some time she kept it to herself careful not to tell anyone. ‘I was shooting for a movie, (Kusina Kings, which opened the day she met with the press. The Star Cinema released film also stars Zanjoe Marudo and Empoy Marquez), so I was very careful.”

Kusina Kings allows Hart to display her yet untapped talent in comedy and she thanks Victor Villanueva for letting her and the rest of the cast contribute crazy ideas to the film. She plays the love interest of the character played by Marudo and younger sister to the character played by Marquez.

“I really enjoyed working with them. There were times I couldn’t contain laughter,” she said.

She revealed that she did not mean to hide her pregnancy forever. She could have flown out of the country for Australia (she’s a citizen) or India (where the father of her baby comes from) and just come back after she dropped. But, “no” she averred. Her fiancé Mayank Sharma, an Indian real estate businessman, was too excited when she learned she was on the family way and they were in the thick of things preparing for their civil wedding in December in Australia. Her mother who is based in Sweden now was similarly thrilled with the idea her daughter was going to be a mother she kept asking her when she was giving birth.

On the set of Bitch Weddin (Abay Babes), her condition didn’t pass the scrutiny of co-star Cristine Reyes  who noticed the “glow’ on her face and he body (did you do something with your breasts? Are you pregnant?), but also her strange behavior (she was asking a lot of questions about pregnancy) that she had no choice but to tell her the truth.

After she gives birth, Hart and her fiancé will be wed in a Hindu ceremony in New Delhi.

LizQuen continues to soar

The year 2018 has been marked with key milestones both in the professional and personal lives stars Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano, known globally together as the love team, LizQuen.

In January, the pair went on a holiday to Europe, visiting London, Paris and Madrid, among other major cities.  Enrique has introduced Liza to his family in Spain who welcomed her with open arms.

In March, not only did the pair celebrate their fifth anniversary as an on-screen couple; they also officially confirmed what millions of LizQuen fans already fantasized: that they are “exclusively” dating in real life.  This was met with loud cheers and applause at the press conference that month for their ABS-CBN fantaserye, Bagani.

And speaking of Bagani, LizQuen continues to ride high as a love team with this daily series which has registered consistently high ratings.  The July 19 national ratings from Kantar Media Philippines showed Bagani ranking third with ratings of 27.6 percent — only ABS-CBN’s phenomenal FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano and flagship news program, TV Patrol ranked higher.

Bagani is not in the comfort zone genre of LizQuen. It is a stunt-laced, action-packed fantasy drama inspired by Filipino pre-colonial mythology.  It has warriors, hunters and tribes in a war between the defenders of the land called Sansinukob under the benevolent god Apo and the monsters that the evil god Sarimaw has unleashed to conquer the land and its people.  It is a visual delight with swordfights, intrigues, sacrifice, manipulation, and yes, romance between the LizQuen’s characters, Lakas (which means “strength” in Filipino) and Ganda (which means “beauty”).

From their beginnings in the now classic rom-com series, Forevermore, to their huge international box-office hit, My Ex and Whys, to their current hit, Bagani, the journey of LizQuen has been one memorable and beautiful moment after another.

2nd Acacia Estates Community Fiesta

DMCI Homes and Globe Telecom through its Globe-At-Home project joined hands recently to celebrate the second community fiesta in the real estate firm’s first township development in the metro, Acacia Estates.

Acacia Fiesta Carnival, the two-day weekend revelry held at The Tent in Taguig City was enjoyed by hundreds of Acacia Estates residents.  Activities included film screenings, dance exhibitions, pet fashion show, free Zumba session and the inter-community competitions, Acacia Idol and Little Miss Acacia.

Resident Janine Ilagan won the first-ever Acacia Idol after her impressive rendition of Beyonce’s “Listen” while Mikeila Milan Carreon was crowned this year’s Little Miss Acacia.  Both winners are residents of The Birchwood.

The Acacia Fiesta Carnival also had bingo game where residents won smart television sets and gadgets courtesy of Alta Vista de Boracay and Globe.

“We want to give Acacia Estates residents something to look forward to every year and get a feel of a traditional fiesta even if they live in a modern community. An event where residents can come together as one community which is the real essence of a fiesta celebration,” said DMCI Homes Property Management Corporation (DPMC) Senior Vice President Enrico C. Wong.

Both DMCI Homes and Globe were ardent supporters of the recently concluded 2018 Entertainment Editors Awards held at The Theatre at Solaire on July 9.  With film screenings and deliberations held in select communities, DMCI Homes has been the home of The Eddys since its launch last year by The Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).
