Balance is key for Andre Paras

Andre Paras dabbles between sport and showbiz, and with a series of workload being part of GMA-7›s new talent competition, The Clash, it’s good to note that he knows too well what he really wants.

Andre Paras, along with host Joyce Pring, joins The Clash as he gives updates on the aspirants' quest for musical stardom

“Hosting, acting, or whatever I could do, basta my main point is to entertain people. And just to make other people happy. And if I make these people happy, I feel that I’m doing a great job,” he shared with MS Entertainment.

For Andre, to be able to entertain his audience, he needs to be open to feedback and flexible in terms of balancing his schedule considering he chose to be part of a very dynamic environment. He added that being in the business allows him to explore different facets of his career, which obviously, gives him a different kind of satisfaction.

“And then, they gave me this opportunity to host. It’s something new. It’s nice to learn, it’s nice to make mistakes. This makes everything so exciting,” Andre said.

While he is learning, Andre also likes the fact that he gets to work with talented people. In The Clash, which is hosted by Regine Velasquez with Christian Bautista, AiAi delas Alas and Lani Misalucha as judges, he had nothing but good words to his coworkers especially to his co-backstage host, Joyce Pring.

“Before I was just listening to her on radio. I was a huge fan of her that’s why working with her now is definitely a dream come true.”

“I learned a lot from her. She gives me tips, of course di ako pwedeng mahiya. She has so much to say, so much to give. She’s very open, very humble. She’s someone easy to work with,” he added.

Since it’s Andre’s first time co-hosting a show, a talent show at that, he wanted to use this experience as training so if he would be given a similar assignment, he would be well-equipped.

Asked if he’s leaving basketball and wold focus on his hosting and showbiz career, the 22-year-old Kapuso talent underscored the changes a person encounters and the decision he has to make when career path is the subject.

“Basketball is fun and very competitive. I guess, I’m at a point in my life that I can do both, in fact I can still do a lot of things. But one day when you reached a certain age, you really need to decide which path you’re going to take. Right now, I enjoy doing many things. Balance is the key I guess,” he said.
