Thanks to a photographer who wanted to illustrate the intersection between child and adulthood, a four-year-old Nigerian is being hailed on social media as the most beautiful girl in the world.
Yahoo Lifestyle reported Wednesday that the photo of a girl named Jare went viral on Instagram after Lagos-based Nigerian photographer Mofe Bamuyiwa posted it on her account, drawing raves such as “absolutely stunning” and “doll-like.”
“Oh yes she’s human! She’s also an angel!” Bamuwiya, a lifestyle and wedding photographer, said of Jare, whom she asked to assume a more mature pose to compose the image perfectly. She stressed that the girl isn’t a professional model.
As of presstime, more than 20,000 people have reacted to the photo on Instagram, calling it a “true work of art” and Jare as “the new Barbie.”
“All I want is for everyone to see Jare’s powerful potential. … I want the photo to speak to her when she has reached her adulthood,” Bamuwiya added.
