resident Rodrigo Duterte’s net satisfaction rating suffered an 11-percentage-point decline, the Second Quarter 2018 survey of the Social Weather Station shows.

The survey, released Tuesday, showed that 65 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with the performance of the President while 20 percent were dissatisfied and the remaining 15 percent were undecided.

This resulted in a net satisfaction rating of 45 percent or 11 percentage points below his 56 percent rating in March 2018.

Duterte’s net satisfaction rating dropped 20 points in Metro Manila, 18 points in the Visayas and six points in Balance of Luzon and Mindanao.

The President’s net satisfaction rating fell by one grade from very good to good among class D respondents, falling to +43 in June, from +57 in March.

However, it rose by one grade from good to very good in class E, at +52 in June 2018, up by 4 points from +48 in March 2018. It stayed very good in class ABC, at +66 in June 2018, up by three points from +63 in March 2018.

The June 2018 SWS survey used face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults, 18 years old and above, nationwide. It has sampling error margins of ±3 percent for national percentages, and ±6 percent each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The President brushed aside the findings.

“I don’t care, make it 15,” he said. “It does not interest me at all. I’m just coasting along… and with the new suggestion since I’m not popular anymore, Congress might decide to find a popular one. You want a popular President? Good.”
