Actor and recording artist Alden Richards has just dropped a new single that will be included in his upcoming album, a follow up to his 2016 Wish I May CD that was certified Diamond by the Philippine Association of Record Industry.
His own version of “I Will Be Here,” a Steven Curtis Chapman original, was released on iTunes on June 24 and was made available yesterday on Amazon, Spotify and other leading digital stores.
Prior to the release of the single, a 41-second video teaser was uploaded by GMA Records on YouTube channel Friday last week. Full music video became available on Daily Motion yesterday and YouTube just today.
Warming the hearts of his fans, “I Will Be Here,” is a feel good revival which promises the comfort of having someone to hold on to. His heartfelt rendition gave way to getting across the message of the song.
“Sometimes, when realities are too painful to see or to encounter in real life, you tend to look away from it,” says Alden.
He understands that struggles may differ from other people, but he believes that the love behind offering comfort to those who are distressed is universal.
“The message of the song is offering a shoulder to cry on, or parang I’m here for this person, group of people, na maaaring may pinagdadaanan,” he adds.
As he releases his new single, he promises that he will continue to bring joy to the people he loves the most. With his honest emotions at heart, he wishes that “I Will Be Here” will be his supporters’ choice of comfort whenever they need someone to rely on.
Meanwhile, as his fans rejoice with Alden for releasing a new single, they have another event to look forward to.
GMA Artist Center has just recently announced that Alden will hold a solo concert on Sept. 21 at the Kia Theater.
Entitled Adrenaline Rush, the concert will feature some of the songs that he popularized including some tracks that will be included in his new record. The upcoming concert is his major solo show after the Upsurge concert last year.
