Megawide Construction Corp. and mass housing developer 8990 Holdings, Inc., recently broke ground on a new affordable housing project by Urban DECA Homes along Ortigas Extension in Pasig City.
Over 19,000 residential units, set across 22 buildings with heights of 14 to 17 storeys, are set to be built on a 13-hectare complex. The project will target young professionals and start-up families, as well as buyers who currently live or work in Pasig City, the Ortigas central business district, Libis, Antipolo and Taytay, Rizal.
This is the first housing project of Megawide that will use advance pre-cast technology.”We are glad to partner with 8990 Holdings,” said Ronald Paulo, Megawide’s EVP of operations. “We are cooperating with 8990 to build a similar mass housing project in Cebu.”
The units at these Urban Deca homes projects are priced around P1.6M to P1.7M, mainly for two-bedroom units.
Solid mass housing
In a statement, Megawide said the pre-cast construction system is one of the hallmarks of Megawide. It supposedly enables faster construction, easy standardization, cost-effectiveness, high-quality finish and enhanced facade design.
This is Megawide’s third Deca Homes project in partnership with 8990 Holdings. The first was the Deca Homes in Edsa Crossing Mandaluyong and the Deca Homes in Tondo.
8990 Holdings Inc. president Willibaldo Uy said his company expects to generate P30 billion in sales from the Pasig project.
