Having one’s own digs by the sea, be it a house or a multi-level condo must be the most ideal of living situations.
Not only do you have the best of worlds because of the idyllic setting; when you’re near the water, you feel calm and content, and you’d do anything to make that moment last forever—or to have it become part of your day-to-day life.
When you think of waterside living, you might picture somewhere far away from the city. But nowadays, you no longer have to choose between the former and the latter. Take Azuela Cove, for instance. The first seaside estate of Ayala Land Premier (ALP), it is named for its proximity to the serene blue waters that lap at the edge of Davao City, as well as the wood-factory history of the land on which it stands.
Gem of a property
ALP launched the two-tower seaside residence in Davao ’s new business and lifestyle district. The Residences at Azuela Cove – North Tower will rise 21 storeys high in a structure with large balconies and unobstructed views of Davao Gulf and Samal Island. The property marks ALP ’s first foray into the Davao market and will be the first residential project to launch in Azuela Cove.
“This is a gem of a property,” acknowledged Edith Alcantara, president of the Alcantara Group of Companies, the joint-venture partner of Ayala Land, Inc., for the 25-hectare Azuela Cove. “We deliberately chose to partner with the leader in luxury vertical development because we wanted to retain the gulf’s natural beauty which my family worked hard to preserve for many years, even before such practices became a fad. And we weren’t wrong: ALP is keeping the environmental sustainability parameters that we requested intact in this project.”
Located in Lanang, the Azuela Cove estate will be developed over a ten-year period. The project will have a retail area, 1,500-capacity events venue, sports facility with a FIFA-standard-size soccer field, basketball court and volleyball court built to international sports standards, a central park, esplanade and mixed-use development. The estate will be the site of St. Luke’s Medical Center’s Davao branch.
“With this project, ALP hopes to introduce a new dimension to condominium living, fusing the convenience of being fully-integrated into an Ayala Land estate with the unique experience of living right by the sea,” said Mike Jugo, managing director of ALP.
First tower, sold out
The Residences at Azuela Cove will soar up from the estate’s quiet, waterside area. The North Tower is a low-density, all-suite tower with only 70 residences. With the exception of the penthouse level, each floor is comprised of only four units. These are three-bedroom homes with varying layouts to suit different needs and sensibilities.
ALP already generated P2.6 billion in sales from the first tower, with its expansive units priced at around P36.7 million, including two iconic penthouse units priced at P80.8 million, sold out within days of the launch.
“The impressive track records of Ayala Land, the Alcantara Group, and Ayala land Premier, no doubt, contributed to the market’s positive response, thus the project’s brisk take-up,” explained Jugo.
Azuela Cove is Ayala Land’s second estate development in Davao, following the Abreeza estate in the Poblacion district. The Alcantara Group has a number of real estate projects in Davao, including Ladislawa Village, Woodridge Park, and Las Terrazas.
