Former Albay congressman Reno Gutlay Lim on Friday plead not guilty in the graft charge filed against him at the Sandiganbayan.

Lim is accused of alleged irregularities in the purchase of 8,000 sets of livelihood instructional materials and technology kits using his Priority Development Assistance Fund amounting to P27 million in 2007.

Lim entered his plea during his arraignment in the anti-graft court’s Second Division for four counts each of violation of Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act and malversation.

He was arraigned following his request for a seven-day trip to the United States.

In his travel motion, Lim said he will attend a business meeting in New York for business venture at India-based Metro Telworks Private Limited.
