Go asks PH youth to focus on sports

President Rodrigo Duterte’s trusted aide Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go has encouraged Filipino youths to focus on sports under the administration’s three-point sports campaign as part of the drive against drugs and criminality.

SAP Go said that they are on a mission to encourage everyone to join sports activities to divert their attention from using illegal drugs and from committing crime.

He said many young men and women wanted to join the three-point shootout since this three-point campaign is part of the government’s way to fight drugs, corruption and criminality.

In a press briefing in Malacañang, Go said everyone is invited to join, including persons with disabilities, the three-point shootout program.

Among the participants of the three-point shootout is a boy who has been suffering from a cyst on his back since he was 17 years old.

Go said his office will provide medical assistance to the teenage boy.

Meanwhile, Go tapped the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) to assist an 11-year-old table tennis player in need of educational assistance and additional athletic training.

“He started playing table tennis at the age of eight. He joined the recently concluded World Championship of Ping Pong in London and the Philippine Super League Table Tennis Tournament,” Go said.
