Fight tickets to the highly anticipated July 15 title fight between champion Lucas Matthysse and Manny Pacquiao go on sale on June 6 at the famous Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur and online.

Fans can purchase their tickets at the Axiata Arena starting at 4 P.M. on Wednesday.

The 16,000-seat venue is expected to be sold out as MP Promotions Kuala Lumpur has been swamped with inquiries early on since April when the fight was announced in separate press conferences in Manila and Kuala Lumpur.

The website https://myticket.asia, the Axiata Arena's online ticketing office, is also the exclusive seller of tickets.

Ticket prices are pegged at $5,000, $2,000, $1,000, $500, $350, $250 and $125. Corporate box rooms are also available.

The long wait for the ticket release was timed well in order for the fans to avail of huge discounts. The new Malaysian government of Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, the recently-elected Prime Minister eliminated the old GST or the goods and service tax. The six percent (6%) GST was previously implemented on goods and services, which would have resulted in higher prices.

acquiao, the only eight-division and 10-time world boxing champion, is also the promoter of this fight with his MPKL company trying to equal, if not surpass the greatest boxing event in this country since Muhammad Ali and Joe Bugner fought in 1975.

"I am excited. The fans are excited. Malaysia is ready. Let's get on with this fight," said Pacquiao, who has already logged in more than a dozen rounds of sparring.

Aside from the Pacquiao Vs Matthysse championship, three other title fights will heat up the event. A stellar cast of fighters coming from all over including South Africa, Thailand, China, Pakistan, Australia, Japan, Mexico, India, and Malaysia are raring to showcase their skills before the world.
