The blockbuster romantic-comedy flick Unexpectedly Yours, last year’s much-awaited reunion of Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla, is set to bring love and excitement on television screens as it premieres at 8:00 p.m. today on Cinema One.
Unexpectedly Yours also marks the third movie pairing of one of today’s hottest loveteams, Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto, after their successful projects Vince and Kath and James and Love You To The Stars and Back.
In this Sunday’s blockbuster premiere, former high school sweethearts Patty (Sharon) and Cocoy (Robin) bump into each other 30 years later not only as organizers of their high school reunion, but also as neighbors.
Patty is a marketing executive who recently went through an annulment and is currently struggling to move on with her daughter, Yanni (Julia). The mother-and-daughter’s quiet lives awaken when Cocoy and his nephew, Jason (Joshua), come knocking on their door. Will they welcome unexpected love in their lives?
This must-see story about taking a leap of faith and giving love another chance is directed by blockbuster filmmaker Cathy Garcia-Molina. Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board, the movie sprang a sweet surprise as it became one of 2017’s top ten highest-grossing films.
