PSG chief among 30 new appointees

Malacañang on Tuesday announced President Rodrigo Duterte’s 30 new appointees including a new Presidential Security Group commander and three undersecretaries of different government departments.

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque confirmed through a text message that Col. Jose Eriel Niembra, deputy commander of the PSG, will replace  Brig. Gen. Lope Dagoy who assumed command of the Army’s 802nd Infantry Brigade in Leyte.

Niembra was a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class 1991 and once served under Task Force Davao when Duterte was mayor there.

He will assume the PSG’s top post in a ceremony to be attended by Duterte on Wednesday.

Malacañang has also appointed three undersecretaries:

Epimaco Verano Densing III, Undersecretary, Department of the Interior and Local Government.

Renato Lariego Ebarle, Undersecretary, Department of Labor and Employment.

Alexander Soria Lopez, Undersecretary, Department of Energy.

Malacañang also released the appointment papers of the following newly appointed officials:

Cesar Gaba Dela Fuente III, Director IV, Department of Energy.

Cherrie Melanie Ancheta Diego, Director IV, Commission on Higher Education.

Tarhata Sumayan Mapandi, Director IV, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

Samuel Cervantes Danganan, Director III, Department of Environment and Natural Resources.

Paul McCudal Villaluz, Director II, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Department of Labor and Employment

Jude Constantine Solier Jaugan, Provincial Trade and Industry Officer, Department of Trade and Industry.

Estrelita Sindo Hizon, Member, Representing the Private Sector, Governing Board, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Department of Labor and Employment, for a term of two years.

Melinda Lopez Garcia, Member, Professional Regulatory Board of Dentistry, Professional Regulation Commission, for a term of three years.

Albert P. Dela Cruz, Member, Board of Directors, North Luzon Railways Corporation, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Andrew Chio Kong, Member, Board of Directors, DBP Leasing Corporation, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Edgar Crisanto Ranario Violan, Member, Board of Directors, Philippine Mining Development Corporation, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Carmen M. Solinap, Member, Representing the Labor Sector, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Board, for a long term of three years.

Rogelio Javen Chavez Jr., Member, Representing the Labor Sector, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Board, for a term of three years.

Rene Luis M. Tadle, Member, Representing the Labor Sector, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Board, for a term of three years.

Ramon R. De Leon, Member, Representing the Labor Sector, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Board, for a term of three years.

Marivic Hernandez del Pilar, Member, Board of Trustees, Cultural Center of the Philippines, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Charisse Marie Vergara-Uyengco, Member, Board of Directors, Food Terminal Inc., to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Porferio Ebao Mah, Member, Board of Directors, Food Terminal Inc., to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Marites Correa Tamayo, Register of Deeds II, Land Registration Authority, Department of Justice.

Yasmin Mapua-Tang, Member, Representing the Child-focused non-government organizations, National Council for Children’s Television, Department of Education, for a term of three years.

Edwin Galindo Espejo, Member, Board of Directors, IRC Group of Companies (Independent Reality Corp. and Mid-Pasig Land Development Corp.).

Ralph Lauren Ancheta Du, Member, Representing the Commercial Milk Processors’ Group, Dairy Industry Board, National Dairy Authority, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Julius N. Raboca, Member, Board of Directors, Clark International Airport Corp., to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

William De Jesus Lima, Special Envoy of the President to the People’s Republic of China, from July 1, 2018 to Dec. 31, 2018.

Michael Braganza Peloton, Member, Board of Directors, Philippine Reclamation Authority, to serve the unexpired Term of Office that began on July 1, 2017 and will end on June 30, 2018.

Fernando Selim Borja, Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China, July 1, 2018 to Dec. 31, 2018.

Dante Arevalo Ang, Special Envoy of the President for International Public Relations, from May 1, 2018 to Oct. 31, 2018.
