Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said on Friday that the Philippines won’t be hosting the Miss Universe pageant this year
“Hindi muna [Not] this year,” Romulo-Puyat told a radio interview.

Puyat said there is no enough budget for the country to host the pageant, adding that the Tourism Department still needs to address other concerns.
“We’ll focus muna on other things. Anyway, kaka-Miss Universe lang naman so baka saka na lang,” she said.
“Marami muna tayo kailangan ayusin,” she added.
