Muslims in Quiapo, Manila buy grilled fish as they stock up on food for the month-long observance of Ramadan to commemorate ‘the best of times’ which celebrates the first time the Koran was revealed to Muhammad, according to Islamic belief. Ramadan began on May 15 and will end in the evening of June 14.
