PSC offers courses in sports management

Three diploma courses offered by the United States Sports Academy will help coaches spread the gospel of grassroots development in the countryside.

Grassroots Sports Development Program Head Dr. Serg Opeña of the Philippine Sports Commission said this is what’s in store for selected students who will attend the classes starting this July.

“This is equivalent to a certificate program. The additional subjects and the 200 hours of mentorship,” said Opena.

The USSA will provide the curriculum and instructors who will come to the country.

On the other hand, The PSC takes care of the necessary logistics.

The program was finalized when PSC chairman William Ramirez and USSA President and CEO Dr. T.J. Rosandich signed an agreement in Daphne, Alabama last April 5.

The PSC hopes to start the courses by July this year and will continue on the second and third week of September, November, January, March and April 2019.

Rosandich and his delegation will be in the country for the formal launching of the sports education program this June.
