Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada personally hands over a P100,000 cash gift from the city government of Manila to three of the eight centenarians in a simple ceremony held recently at the city hall. The remaining six were physically unfit to receive their checks. The cash gift program has been authorized by Ordinance No. 8483 approved by Estrada on March 17, 2016. ‘You are the living legends of Manila. We look up to you as our heroes,’ said Estrada.
